TWICE recently released a clip of themselves reacting to their music video for “Likey.” They pointed out some things that fans may not have noticed!
The Story Begins Jeongyeon Likey
Jeongyeon is a girl who was born to be a singer. She trained to become a singer since she was young, and she also learned to play the trumpet and the saxophone. She was a member of the JYP girl group survival program Sixteen, and she made her debut in 2015 with Twice.
Her personality and charm make her a very appealing character. In addition to her aegyo and bubbly persona, she is also a very hard worker. She is always busy with various tasks such as training, recording, and promotional events. In fact, she is the most active member of the group and has the most overseas schedules.
When she’s not on a promo tour, she spends time with her family and friends. She has a very close relationship with her siblings, and she loves going to the gym together with Momo, Jihyo, and Sana. She has even joked that she would be willing to sacrifice her own body weight for her sister’s health.
She’s also a good listener and is very kind to others. This quality makes her a great leader of the group. She’s often seen listening to the other members’ problems, and she’s also very supportive of her younger teammates.
During the promotion of Page Two, Tzuyu made some controversial remarks that caused backlash. She triggered the Chinese government to censor searches for her, and she was forced to apologize. Despite the controversy, she didn’t let it stop her from promoting the album, and she has continued to be a hardworking and popular member of Twice.
TWICE made their official debut on October 20, 2015 with the extended play The Story Begins. Their first single CHEER UP charted at number 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart and became the best-performing song of the year. In the same year, TWICE was named Top Girl Group of the Year at both Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards. Their second extended play TWICEcoaster : LANE 1 was the best-selling album of 2016 in Korea. The album sold 335,235 copies in its first month alone!
The Music Video Jeongyeon Likey
Jeongyeon likey is the lead singer and dancer of the South Korean girl group Twice. She is a native of Suwon, South Korea. Jeongyeon started training as a singer at a young age and has also learned to play the trumpet and saxophone. She was originally given the name Kyung-wan, but because of being teased for her male-sounding name as a child, she legally changed it to Jeongyeon in the third grade.
She debuted in 2015 as a contestant on the reality show SIXTEEN and was later chosen to become a member of Twice.
Jeongyeon is a hidden gem in Twice, she’s in every line (except for the rap one but she’s still good at it) and she has a beautiful falsetto which you can appreciate in their bsides and hidden vocals. She’s the best in terms of harmony and her voice is very sweet and uplifting. She is definitely one of the most loved and appreciated member of the group worldwide.
The Style Jeongyeon Likey
Jeongyeon’s style has been getting a lot of attention lately. On social media, fans have been praising her stylists for giving her clothes a more fashion-forward look. This change is especially evident in the music video for “Likey,” where she wears a cute floral outfit that is surprisingly sophisticated. The mix of fabrics, colors, and details really makes it stand out. Plus, the GUCCI belt is a perfect complement to her overall look.
Previously, Jeongyeon’s styles were often seen as a bit too baggy and unflattering for her new body. She gained weight after her hiatus, and her clothes seemed to reflect this. But lately, her looks have been more fitted and flattering, and ONCEs are praising the stylists for finally recognizing her beauty.
Even in more casual outfits, she’s still a stunner. She pulls off a cute look with joggers and sneakers by tucking in her shirt and adding a cool bag. She also knows how to class things up with a dress and heels. This outfit shows that she can be as sexy as the rest of the group when she wants to be.
Her outfits in the “TT” MV have been a great example of her versatility. The girls have worn many different outfits throughout the MV, and they all suit the girls perfectly. Whether it’s Tzuyu’s gorgeous golden pleated skirt or Momo’s pure badassery, their looks are a testament to how versatile Jeongyeon’s style is.
Despite the fact that the TT MV is more Halloween-themed, it’s still chock-full of amazing fashion. From the incredibly fluffy pastel jeans outfit to the mint green and lavender dresses with geometric shapes, they all look absolutely stunning. While some of the outfits might be difficult to replicate in daily life, others definitely could work. Just take a look at Nayeon’s casual jeans and T-shirt outfit or Dahyun’s jean jacket and pink plaid pants to see what I mean.
The Finale Jeongyeon Likey
After an incredibly touching performance, the girls took a breather to meet their fans. Jeongyeon grabbed her personal digital camera to take photos of the crowd and herself, showing how genuine she is. The members were so happy to be able to spend time with their fans and seemed truly blown away by the energy in MetLife Stadium.
TWICE also shared some fun behind-the-scenes clips of their “Likey” music video. One cute Easter egg that fans may have missed is that the train that passes by Jihyo and Nayeon in the video is not computer-generated but actually a real train! The girls were also able to point out a couple of things that the music video’s production crew might have slipped past viewers. For instance, the train track that Nayeon runs across during her twirls in the final scene is not a prop, but the actual rail line near the group’s rehearsal studio!
More Words
Other highlights from the show included a beautiful ballad performance by Jihyo on a grand piano, a smooth cover of Charlie Puth’s “Done for Me” by Chaeyoung, a sultry dance break in a neon green feather outfit by Momo, and a mesmerizing rendition Jeongyeon Likey of Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” by Mina. Each performance was captivating from the first beat to the last and allowed ONCE members to fall in love with their favs all over again!
Despite the sadness that comes with Jeongyeon’s departure, ONCE can rest assured that the girls will continue to work hard and do their best. We can’t wait to see them Jeongyeon Likey back on stage again, hopefully soon!
